MODE OF ADMISSIONS& ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR B.Tech. I YEAR
There are three modes for admissions
1. Through UPSEE -2017
65% of the lntake seats available in B.Tech. will be filled by the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P. & who has Qualified UPSEE-2017 and is allotted ABES Engineering College (College Code -032) after Counseling.
Qualified candidates, who have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates ) without grace in each compulsory subject as Physics, Maths and one optional subject as Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject.
lf the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of verification of document on certificate 3 (format available in UPSEE - 2017 information brochure)
2. Through JEE (Main)-2017
20% of total sanctioned seats available will be filled by JEE (Main)-2017 merit for admission to Technology/Architecture courses; out of which 10% seats will be filled through U.P. domicile candidates on U.P. State merit using state reservation policy, and the remaining of 10% seats will be filled through All lndia merit candidates without reservation.
3. Through Direct Admission under Management Quota/ Vacant Seats after counseling of UPSEE - 17
15% of total sanctioned seats will be filled by the candidates under Management quota; and the same shall be filled up in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Govt. orders for which the student has to approach the college (click here for complete procedure) for appearing in the written test / or interview to be held in the college at the time of admission before the selection committee. The admission under this category would be made purely on merit basis. The vacant seats after counseling of UPSEE-2017 shall be filled as per preference order given in information brochure UPSEE2017 within fifteen days of the last date of counseling.
i) Firstly, by the qualified candidates of UPSEE-2017, who fulfill the eligibility as per clause 3.1 (of UPSEE2017 Brochure). Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in UPSEE-2017
ii) Secondly, by the qualified candidates of JEE (Main)-2017 fulfilling the eligibility as per clause 3.1(of UPSEE2017 Brochure) for B.Tech. Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.
iii) Thirdly, by the merit of candidates in qualifying examination Candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in required subject combination (two compulsory & one optional) taken together. The candidate is essentially required to pass without any grace marks (as per respective Board/University) in each subject of the subject group indicated in para 3.1 (i) of UPSEE -2017 Brochure. The relative merit shall be decided based on total marks in subject combination (clause 3.1(i)) of qualifying examination.
Eligibility for admission to second year students through LATERAL ENTRY of B. TECH. – UPSEE
ABES Engineering College supports Lateral Entry in for second year students, in all the Engineering branches (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture).
Candidates are eligible for second year through LATERAL ENTRY under below mentioned guidelines:
- Candidates, who have passed three years Engineering Diploma from an Institution, recognized by Board of Technical Education, located in Uttar Pradesh with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) or incase of outside Uttar Pradesh, Parents (Father or Mother) with Domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
- Candidates who have passed three years Bachelor of Science degree and passed XII standard with Mathematics as one of the subject, from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate
Eligibility for Direct admission to second year students through LATERAL ENTRY under vacant seats after UPSEE counseling.
LATERAL ENTRY under vacant seats in Bachelor of Technology fill within 15 days from last day of counseling at institute level. Primarily UPSEE qualify students who meet the eligibility and their rank in UPSEE decide the admission. Secondly in case of vacant seats (if any) fill by candidates with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate without any grace marks. For more details Click here
Eligibility for admission to NON-RESIDENT INDIAN (NRI) in second year
Our college has no sanctioned intake under this category, as such we do not entertain admissions under this category.
