He has many prestigious R&D Projects to his credit in the field of Earthquake Engineering Reinforced Soil, Expansive clays, Machine Foundations, Air Pollution Control etc. His project "A Device for Efficient Air Pollution Control in Brick Kilns" was patented and received wide coverage. Dr. Surendra Kumar has been a consultant for various massive projects of Different Fertilizer industries, IOCL & design of Fixed-Chimney Brick Kiln with Gravitational Setting Chamber etc. Dr. Surendra Kumar has represented the Bureau of Indian standards as an active member of different Committees and Sub committees. He is a Life fellow of Institution of Engineers India and Life Member of Indian Geo-technical Society, Indian Society of Earthquake Technology, Indian Concrete Institution and Computer Society of India etc. Dr. Surendra Kumar has won many prestigious awards & Honors. He was awarded the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) Technology Day Invention Award for the Invention of Technology on Pollution Control in Brick Kilns by his Excellency, Shri Krishan Kant, Vice President of India & Central Building Research Institute Foundation Day Award for the development of Gravitational Settling Chamber for Pollution Control in Brick Kilns by Chief Minister of Uttranchal. His passion for academics has drawn him to ABES Engineering College and the institution has grown into a temple of quality learning under his able leadership and guidance. |
