DIRECTOR (ACADEMICS ) Prof. R.G.Mendiratta M.Sc.- Agra University Prof. R. G. Mendiratta, had his earlier school and college education in India and had a brilliant career throughout. After having received Ph.D. degree in Physics from the Pennsylvania State University, USA at the young age of 24. He served as an Assistant Professor at the West Virginia University, USA and then joined IIT Delhi where he served for 38 years in various capacities such as Professor, Head of Department, Dean Students’ Affairs, Dean Postgraduate Studies & Research and as Deputy Director. Prof. Mendiratta was with NASA as a Senior Research Associate for about 15 months and had served as a faculty member in a few universities abroad. |

He has published more than 150 research papers, coauthored a book & has supervised degree work of about 20 Ph.D. and about 70 M.Tech./ M.Sc. students. He has presented a large number of papers in national and international conferences. After retirement from IIT Delhi, he served for over 2½ years as Professor & Dean of Students at the Netaji Subash Institute of Technology, New Delhi. For the past 5 years he is with the ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad, where at present he is a Professor & Director (Academics). He has been on the Board of Governors of several colleges and was a member of a few national level committees. He is an extremely successful teacher and is much liked and respected by the students and fellow teachers. Teaching is his passion. He is also a very able administrator, educationist and an individual of clear perception and vision for future. Under his leadership and guidance, the ABES Engineering College has rapidly achieved new heights and is presently rated as one of the few top colleges of UPTU. |
