Advance engine research lab has been established for promoting research activities.
The objective lab is to utilize the rural waste in the form of biogas and producer gas as a replacement for diesel in power generation which will benefit the environment and revenue generation option. This lab will explore the capability of green fuel i.e. biogas, biodiesel from algae, producer gas from agricultural waste as a power generation option in place of diesel. Also, it will explore the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions using these green fuels. The overall social benefits from this type of project will also be investigated.
A Research grant of Rs.500000 was given under Visvesarya promotion scheme for setting up equipments in this lab by AKTU.
In order to promote the involvement of students in research activities various research groups are formed. Students are encouraged and guided by experienced professors to carry on the research work of their interest in the following areas.
- Automation & Robotics Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Design Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Thermal Engineering
