From strengthening the mind to promoting better time management skills, extracurricular activities can help students succeed in much more than just their academic endeavors. Learning time management and prioritizing, getting involved in diverse interests, raising self-esteem, building solid relationship skills – extracurricular activities does it all.
The department encourages and promotes students to participate in various activities which would help them think and live beyond their academic endeavors. The department hosts a series of activities in the form of cultural program, orientation program, fresher’s day etc. to enlighten this spark amongst the students.

Guest lectures are a way of enriching our students with the latest updates and broaden their minds. We invite eminent personalities from various Industries and Institutions to lend valuable information from their experiences to our students. Some recent events include-
- A guest lecture on “Save Hindon” by Mr. Vikrant Sharma, Hindon Activist and Environmental Scientist. The lecture created awareness about saving Hindon River (Harnandi).
- A motivational guest lecture by Prof. T.C.Sharma on “The Importance of History in creating a Technical Outlook.”
- A guest lecture on “Nanoscience in Nature and for our future” by Prof. Ashok K. Ganguly, Director of INST, Mohali.
- Science Academies’ Lecture Workshop on Recent Advances in Chemical and Environmental Sciences, 5-6 May 2014.
