1 Faculty Development Program on Artificial Intelligence 14-18, Dec 2020 In this program total 14 sessions were conducted and 195 participants participated from all over the nation. On Day-1 Inaugural session was conducted and, in this session,Dr. Tushar Kanti Bera, from NIT Durgapur has delivered his talk and explained the applications of Image processing in various fields. Valedictory session was held after the conduction of quiz for the participants, which was graced by Shri G.L. garg, Assistant Director AICTE-ATAL. Dr. Vikas Singh Bhadoria and Dr. Amit Agrawal coordinated the overall program under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Hemant Ahuja, HoD- EN.
2 Faculty Development Program on Electric Vehicles: New trends & Technologies 22- 26, June 2020 Prof. Hemant Ahuja (HoD-EN) inaugurated the event for which 546 participants have registered from across the country. All the sessions were broadcasted through google-meet and you-tube channel.  The whole purpose of this FDP was to spread the awareness about electric vehicles and help the environment. The FDP was attended by the faculty members, research scholars and the industry persons from all over the nation. The event was well coordinated by Dr. Vikas Singh Bhadoria & Dr. Amit Agrawal.
3 Technical Staff Development Programme on Fundamentals of Multisim™ and its Applications 28-29, February 2020 The purpose of the Technical Staff development program was to provide Computer awareness, software introduction and cover the basic Knowledge on Multisim™ programming in order to enhance the Laboratory delivery of the technical staff members. The Program was well organized by Ms. Pragati Deb (Associate Prof.) and Ms. Isha Rajput (Sr. Assistant Prof.).
4 Faculty Development Program on Power Electronics in Renewable Energy 8-12, July 2019 Faculty development Program was focused on upgrading the teaching, learning & research skill about the advances in theory & practice of Power Electronics in the field of renewable Energy. This program was aimed to cater faculty members & researchers for a wide range of power electronics related areas in renewable energy. The Key-Note Speaker Prof. G. Bhuvneshwari from IIT Delhi and other distinguished guests from research and academics graced the occasion.
5 Faculty Development Program on Applications of MATLAB/ LabVIEW 9-13, July 2018 This Faculty Development Program was organized under TEQIP-III, AKTU Lucknow. The aim of this FDP was to create familiarization among the participants about the application of MATLAB/LabVIEW in key areas of Electrical Engineering such as Power System, Power Electronics & Drives, Control System and Instrumentation, Signal Processing, etc. The Program was well organized by Ms. Shilpa Sambhi, Associate Professor, and Dr. Preeti Assistant Professor, EN.
6 FDP at the Site of Industry 02- 04, May 2018 The Programme mainly covered the following power stations that comes under UJVN Ltd. 1. Khodri Power Plant which is located at Dakpathar, Uttarakhand, India. 2. Ichari Dam & Chibro Power Plant which is located at Ichari, Uttarakhand, India. 3. Galogi Power Plant, Kyar Kuli Bhatta, Uttarakhand.
7 A one week workshop on “Outcome Based Education & Accreditation” 15-19, January 2018 This workshop was designed to provide the following outcomes: 1.Demonstrate the basic philosophy of Outcome Based Education, Assessment and Accreditation and understand the current Challenges 2.Understand the taxonomy of Teaching, Learning and Assessing the outcomes 3.Formulate and distinguish PEOs, POs, GAs and COs 4.Identify, design and deploy appropriate assessment tools for PEOs, POs and COs 5.Identify the scope for continuous improvement and to propose corrective measures 6.Independently assess all the criteria in NBA's SAR.Workshop was delivered by inhouse faculty members.
8 A Six Weeks Technology Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme on “Solar Energy based Business Models” 17 Jan.  - 27 Feb., 2018 This program was useful for developing Entrepreneurship potential and mainly focused on Solar Energy- Fundamentals, Economics & Energy Analysis. the main focus was to develop an understanding about how to enter the business of Solar Energy
9 First International Conference on “Advances in Business and Engineering for Sustainability (ABES-2018)” 27 -28, March 2018 The aim was to bring together worldwide leading researchers, developers, practitioners and educators interested in advancing the state of the art business & engineering for exchanging knowledge that encompasses a broad range of disciplines among various distinct communities. This conference discussed relevant topics in order to provide a holistic vision on sustainable development of business and engineering. This conference was targeted to engineers, scientists, planners, resources managers, modelers, policy makers, government officers, consultants, NGOs and students. Total twelve sessions were held out of which two were related to Electrical stream. The Conference was organized jointly by Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and MBA deparment.
10 Technical Staff Development Programme on “Fundamentals of LabVIEW and Data Acquisition Systems” 11-13, June 2018 The purpose of the Technical Staff development program was to provide Computer awareness among the staff members and covered the basic concepts of LabVIEW programming and Data Acquisition in order to enhance the Laboratory delivery of the technical staff members. The Programme included the participants from ABES EC and other Institutes affiliated to AKTU.
11 All India Seminar on 'Renewable Energy for Sustainable Development' 27 -28 July, 2018 The seminar was sponsored by two leading Power Organizations – Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. and Power Finance Corporation Ltd. The seminar was attended by power engineers of reputed organizations such as UPPCL , MPTCL , Mount Him, JP Power Projects, APSERC , MIS, PFC, Power Grid, etc. and academicians from IIT, NIT, AMU, TERI and many other, institutions of the Nation. It was a complete technical extravaganza comprising of six technical sessions spread over two days. Each session included a key note address by an eminent speaker and paper presentation by authors. Constrains / problems in the way of large scale usage of renewable sources (solar, wind, power, etc) for the production of power were identified and their possible solutions were also been obtained. A Souvenir depicting the proceedings of the sessions was also released.
12 One day workshop on "Internet of things" 17-Aug-17 During the workshop the students were made familiar to practical aspects of Internet of Things (IOT).
13 Faculty Development Programme on “ Power Electronics and its Applications” 06 -10, March 2017 The aim of this FDP was to cover recent advancement and expanding applications of Power Electronics in today’s perspective. The eminent speakers from IIT, NIT and from reputated companies covered different features of Power Electronics and its associated applications in real world. The programme was fully sponsored by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Very good participation of faculties from different Institutes was witnessed during the program.
14 Technomentum’17 17-Feb-17 Around 350 students from all the undergraduate courses of ABES EC and 50 students from nearby colleges participated in the event. Yet another feather in the cap of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was added during “Technomentum’17”. Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering won the Trophy of “Department of the year”. It was a proud moment for the department when Ms. Rashmi Prabha (IIIrd Year) student of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering secured Ist position inTechnomentum’17.
