COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Department came into inception from year 2018-19 with an intake of 60 seats as B.Tech CEIT (Computer Engineering & Information Technology) branch. Later on in the year 2019-20, two more AICTE approved streams such as Computer Engineering (60 seats) and Computer Science (60 seats) were introduced in the department, in addition to CEIT. Now, from 2020-21 onwards the Department of Computer Science is running with an intake of 180 seats.

It has become the most sought after department among engineering aspirants. The department has a team of experienced, highly qualified and motivated faculty members. The Department believes in nurturing the students with the ability and skills to analyze, design and develop computer systems and their applications, with a curriculum that has a balanced emphasis on theory, practical and projects.

The focus of CS Department is to develop and to strengthen young minds to make them globally competitive by inculcating the capabilities of critical thinking, problem solving, analysis, design, research, team work, communication skills, and readiness for lifelong learning in areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things, Applications in Healthcare and Smart Living. Department uses mixed techniques of interactive lectures, tutorials, laboratory work, guided case studies, literature surveys and project work that require team work, critical and creative thinking.

  • The department has also signed MOU as lead zonal partner of leadingindia.ai under AICTE scheme.
  • The department owned ABESEC ACM Student Chapter and ABESEC ACM Women’s Chapter (ACM-W) & ABES-EC IEEE Student Chapter.
  • The Department is equipped with ICT enabled Class Rooms & Laboratories.
  • The Department conducts an annual international conference to provide an opportunity to students and faculty members to write research papers, present and publish at Scopus/UGC Care .Renowned international academicians and industry speakers share their experience with the fraternity
