Department of Mechanical Engineering

Indian industry has a huge demand for trained mechanical engineers and technicians, who could quickly adapt to their professional responsibilities. Keeping this in mind, ABESEC has taken steps to create advanced training facilities for training engineering students. The department of Mechanical Engineering provides a robust training platform to the students in AUTO CAD, CATIA, CREO, NDT, WEILDING TECHNOLOGY, PIPING DESIGN, QUALITY CONTROL and ANSYS; to develop and strengthen their technical skills. GATE training programs and training in soft skills like communication skills, critical thinking, decision making, networking, time management and conflict resolution are also provided to the students for their holistic development. Mechanical Engineers, as a part of their job responsibilities are required to design, test, manufacture, install, operate and maintain a wide array of machines and mechanical systems used in the industries. The strategic trainings of mechanical engineering deal with the concepts and of mechanics, thermodynamics, robotics, structural mechanics, refrigeration, fluid mechanics, power sector, air conditioning and aerospace. As a part of training, the students are taken for industrial visits so that the students are acquainted with the applications of technologies and with the industry culture. The trainings and projects are based by connecting industry-academia and are focused on identifying and solving industry based problems, thus empowering the students with cutting-edge technology.
